The owner chose to hang the TV on the wall, above the low storage unit. This way it can be viewed from the sitting area and it also serves as a decorative wall feature. This is one of the details which help to keep the apartment’s interior design simple, practical and at the same time elegant. The style used throughout is eclectic, being a combination of modern and Scandinavian elements.
Basic pieces in black, like this chair and the interesting floor lamp are great additions to any room where you want to create a black and white color scheme. Both pieces are naturals to fit into a Nordic-inspired space and are super functional — a hallmark of Scandinavian furnishings.
Some unmistakable industrial details can be seen in the home office which is a cozy room with this metal mesh wall unit. As before, the metal elements are complemented by warm wood details and the result is harmonious and elegant. This area also has two work spaces. It’s basically a single long and minimalist desk with two chairs facing the back wall.
Despite predictions of its imminent plunge from popularity, gray walls do not seem to be going away any time soon. Light hues or dark, and everything in between, gray walls are trending in Scandinavian style. This room relies on a dray gray tone for its accent wall, which adds depth and dimension to the space. The color is a modern neutral that creates a marvelous base for wall art.
