On the left, the design team created a room that flows from a comfy sitting area to an open kitchen. From there, a sliding glass door opens up to a covered patio to enjoy dinners on nice days.
The modern addition consists of two rectangular concrete volumes stacked behind the original home. The upper level cantilevers over the bottom floor, creating a partially covered outdoor area. The main floor features open-plan living areas.
“The main house was renovated using traditional construction methods, thus preserving its character and ambiance. It accommodates the social and functional areas of the house: the entryway, the kitchen, small living and dining rooms, and two bedrooms.”
