Despite predictions of its imminent plunge from popularity, gray walls do not seem to be going away any time soon. Light hues or dark, and everything in between, gray walls are trending in Scandinavian style. This room relies on a dray gray tone for its accent wall, which adds depth and dimension to the space. The color is a modern neutral that creates a marvelous base for wall art.
The apartment is structured on two levels. Each has its own functions and decor. One of the floors was quite difficult to furnish because of the long and rectangular floor plan. The designers chose to seamlessly combine the living and the dining areas. They created a central sitting area with cozy sofa modules in complementary colors. On one side there’s a white brick wall almost entirely covered by a shelving unit that has a metal frame and wooden cubbies. On the other side there’s a low storage unit that runs along the walls and ends into a comfortable bench. The dining table is placed in front of the bench and two chairs matching the sofa sit on its opposite side.
