This is not to say that a modern home cannot have pops of color or added character through decor. It is just that it needs to be done in a manner that adds to the architecture rather than takes away from it.
Dinner can transform into a relaxing night outdoors as the temperature cools. The design included a boxy fire pit in the back of the property, the perfect spot to relocate to after dinner.
According to the architects, the site is level and then drops away on a steep treed slope, bordering a golf course. The building stands out with its subtle palette of colors, resulting from a combination of stone, glass and aluminum.
The back side of the house welcomes family with a terrace complete with a pond and a swimming pool, perfect for rare sunny days. Carefully exploring this powerful connection between inside and outside, architects imagined a covered terrace that makes this transition easier.
